The basics
Bing-Zi day pillar, NaYin image "涧下水". The stem Bing is Fire, the branch Zi is Water hiding 1 stem(s) whose Ten Gods read Seven Killings; the branch maps to the Rat. Bing Fire — the sun: open and warm, a natural center of attention.
Personality
The main hidden stem 癸 reads as Seven Killings beneath the Day Master — no primary root beneath the seat: a more flexible, adaptive personality. Officer under the seat: responsible and self-demanding.
Career & wealth
With a Bing Fire Day Master: Pressure performer: startups, turnarounds and competitive fields; recovery routines keep the edge. Element-wise, industries of your favorable elements fit best — as a rule of thumb, media, internet, energy and hospitality.
Marriage
The day branch 子 is the spouse palace, hiding 癸 (Seven Killings). Intense and all-in; the right partner is a sparring partner, not an audience. A full marriage reading weighs all four pillars and the luck pillars.
Ideal partner (male chart)
For a male chart with a 丙 Fire Day Master, the spouse star is the wife star (what you control): the 金 element. Wood-partner warmth, Fire-partner energy, Earth-partner steadiness, Metal-partner principles, Water-partner wit — whichever matches. The spouse palace 子 harmonizes with Ox and gets along naturally with Monkey & Dragon.
Ideal partner (female chart)
For a female chart with a 丙 Fire Day Master, the spouse star is the husband star (what controls you): the 水 element. The matching stem suggests whether your ideal partner leads with structure (Metal/Water) or warmth (Wood/Fire). The spouse palace 子 combines with Ox; the clash branch 午 (Horse) needs more patience — workable, just more effortful.

FAQ
What does Bing Zi BaZi mean?
Bing Zi is one of the 60 day pillars in the Four Pillars system: the combination of the day stem (your Day Master) and the day branch (the spouse palace and immediate environment). A Bing Zi day pillar read means your birth day carries that stem-branch pair — see the sections above for its personality, career and marriage tendencies.
What is a Bing Zi day pillar person like?
Traditional readings describe Bing Zi people through the Five-Element nature of the day stem layered with the branch's hidden stems — the sections above summarize the classical view. The day pillar is only one of four pillars; a full reading weighs the year, month and hour pillars, Ten Gods and luck pillars together.
How do I know if I have a Bing Zi day pillar?
Cast your birth date in the BaZi calculator: the app computes all four pillars with true-solar-time correction and shows your day pillar instantly. If your birth date lands one day either side of a solar-term boundary, try both and compare against known life events.
Is one pillar enough for a reading?
No. Each page here is an entry point; a full reading needs all four pillars, Ten Gods, patterns and Luck Pillars together. You can cast a free full chart on this site.
